Yosemite June 9-10 & June 16-17

Postby matteppi » Wed May 09, 2012 11:10 am

If you want to fly a hang glider next to North America's highest waterfall while it's still flowing this year, you should plan on flying Yosemite early, as nominal snow pack will likely have the falls peak soon. With Glacier Point Road already open, infamous WOR member/YHGA Monitor Chris Valley plans on opening the Yosemite Hang Gliding season June 9-10 with Matt Epperson covering the following weekend.

If you are a Hang 4, flying feet away from Yosemite Falls should be on your bucket list. http://www.yhga.org
Sign up on the website or contact the monitor directly to reserve your flight.

Are you sure it will be ok? It's a really long drive with not much to do if one doesn't fly....

Diev -(still on the fence....family details...not the long drive)

Water level is 6.5 feet below flood stage...we'll be fine!

It'd be great if you could make it Diev.
