The ad-hoc speedgliding committee met yesterday prior to the Club meeting and ironed out some loose ends...

The next step will be to communicate with the park (Jeff Cousins) our intent to hold this event, and I believe Steve Pittman will assist with that...

Otherwise, a primary date of January 30th and 31st has been set with a backup date (incase of inclement weather) of February 6th and 7th.

More will be posted later regarding rules and so forth...thanks to all who have volunteered to help with this event!

I hope to be there and give it a try, _it _ being the speed-gliding event.

The way I see it, everyone will be competing for 2nd place.
Because if that pilot "Cock Roach" Shows up and does a run
like he did at the Octoberfest, no one-man, will have a chance
to bag first place.

Hey Noman, please go fishing on that day, or long distance running.
Or just stay home and watch the cooking channel.

Alright...the volunteer list appears to be growing here, so we're looking good...

JB will be getting the ball rolling on setting up the course in due time...which will give us locals some "practice time" if you know what I mean...

I may be meeting with JB this weekend at Ed Levin if he plans to head out...there was some discussion of that.

For those interested, there is another thread discussion on Hanggliding.org for the Ed Levin Speed Gliding event...but, we'll keep information local here, as well.
