We're expecting the Stanford Avenue Staging Area to open up tomorrow, June 1st, 2020, and flying will be allowed to resume with additional restrictions.  In coordination with the East Bay Regional Park District, the following Social Distancing Protocols will be required of all pilots flying Mission Ridge:

Social Distancing Protocol for Mission Ridge

Pilots flying at Mission Ridge must follow applicable health orders (esp. Alameda County) regarding social distancing.

Pilots driving to launch should be one person per car with the exception of a driver that is a member of the same household.

Pilots hiking to launch need to follow the recommendations for social distancing identified by Alameda County. See Health Officer Orders http://www.acphd.org/2019-ncov/health-officer-orders.aspx

In the setup area and landing area pilot must follow social distancing recommendation including but not limited to the following:

1. No sharing of equipment of any kind and no tandem flights with students that are not part of the same household or living unit.
2. Maintaining at least six-foot social distancing from individuals who are not part of the same household or living unit.
3. Frequently washing hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or using hand sanitizer that is recognized by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as effective in combatting COVID-19;
4. Covering coughs and sneezes with a tissue or fabric or, if not possible, into the sleeve or elbow (but not into hands);
5. Wearing a face covering when out in public, consistent with the orders or guidance of the Health Officer.
6. Avoiding all social interaction outside the household when sick with a fever, cough, or other COVID-19 symptoms.
