Welcome to the Wings of Rogallo. We manage 3 flying sites for hang gliding and paragliding:
Ed Levin County Park in Milpitas is suitable for all ratings with significant regulation.
Mission Peak is a mountain and ridge soaring site near Fremont, California suitable for P4/H4 or P3/H3 with additional restrictions.
The Wings of Rogallo hang gliding club was founded in the mid-1970’s to serve the interests of hang gliding pilots in the San Francisco Bay area. Since that time, the club has grown to be one of the largest in the country, with a typical roster of 350-400 hang gliding and paragliding pilots.
Wings of Rogallo administers 3 local sites in addition to providing soaring forecasts, a newsletter, scheduled observers, and a number of other services to the pilot community.
The Wings of Rogallo Northern California Hang Gliding Association (typically referred to as “Wings of Rogallo” or “WOR”) is an organization of paragliding and hang gliding pilots and enthusiasts. The charter of the club is to promote and encourage the sport of hang gliding and paragliding, and provide social opportunities are our 3 flying sites. WOR is a registered chapter of the United States Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association, Chapter #35.
WOR is a 501(c)7 nonprofit organization governed by Bylaws, last modified December 2005.
