Ed Levin County Park in Milpitas is suitable for all ratings with significant regulation.
Mission Peak is a mountain and ridge soaring site near Fremont, California suitable for P4/H4 or P3/H3 with additional restrictions.
Mt. Diablo is a mountain site near Walnut Creek, California suitable to P4/H4 pilots.
The Wings of Rogallo Northern California Hang Glider Association (typically referred to as “Wings of Rogallo” or “WOR”) is an organization of paragliding and hang gliding pilots and enthusiasts. The charter of the club is to promote and encourage the sports of hang gliding and paragliding, work with local park authorities and landowners to preserve and operate our 3 flying sites, and provide social opportunities for pilots. WOR is a registered chapter of the United States Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association, Chapter #35.
Wings of Rogallo administers 3 local flying sites in the San Francisco Bay Area, in addition to providing a club newsletter, social events, and a number of other services to the pilot community.
The Wings of Rogallo hang gliding club was founded in the mid-1970’s to serve the interests of hang gliding pilots. Since that time, the club has grown to be one of the largest in the country, with a typical roster of 350-400 hang gliding and paragliding pilots.
WOR is a 501(c)7 nonprofit mutual benefit corporation.
